I have always had a love of black and white photography. I started out in film and almost always choose to shoot in Black and White. I enjoyed the entire process from buying the film to printing it myself in the dark room. I would strive to show the emotion and energy through the subject and not the use of color. As I matured in my photographic skills I learned I could also use color to enhance the subject. I could work in both successfully and pick what works best with each particular image. But I have continued to have a soft spot for the black and white image and it’s own personal power.  And I tend to go back to my black and white roots.
